Over the past twenty years, Armen Arus and Julian Koski have dedicated their research to the study of human behavior and its impact on stock prices.

They identified a dramatically differentiated source of alpha that is uncorrelated with traditional risk factors and managers. With this, they built actuarial based portfolio solutions, indexes and direct indexing options that aim to avoid the losers.

Armen Arus

Co-Founder Chief Executive Officer

Armen Arus is a groundbreaking entrepreneur who co-founded New Age Alpha with Julian Koski, and he currently serves as the company's CEO. Armen is also a member of the Board of Directors and acts as Interested Trustee to the New Age Alpha Trust.#Armen Arus possesses a proven track record across all aspects of company growth and leadership: from early-stage idea generation, to research and funding, to startup and mid to late-cycle development, to successful and efficient exit. With extensive asset management background, strategic planning, product innovation and the delivery of complicated business models and investment solutions, Armen has pragmatic expertise within an intensely competitive investment environment.#Over the past 20+ year partnership with Julian Koski, the duo has combined their abilities to launch and build modern, efficient, and dependable asset management firms. Armen and Julian co-developed New Age Alpha's h-factor^TM methodology, which is at the core of New Age Alpha's investment approach and portfolio solutions. Prior to establishing New Age Alpha, Armen and Julian co-founded Transparent Value, which was successfully sold to Guggenheim Partners in 2009. At Transparent Value, Armen and Julian invented the Required Business Performance (RBP), the investment process that formed the foundation of the firm. Armen was instrumental in launching, organizing, operating, and selling the asset management business which included mutual funds, separately managed accounts, hedge fund, indexes and UITs. This enterprise included a successful outsourcing unit, personally constructed by Armen, composed of approximately 250 analysts and technology professionals. Armen also served as president of the mutual fund trust, portfolio manager and managed the funds relationships.#Armen began his career at Lehman Brothers' CMBS group, then later joined the Acquisition Finance group at JPMorgan Chase, focusing on financing solutions for financial sponsors. Armen is a graduate of New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business with degrees in Finance and Information Systems.

Julian Koski

Co-Founder Chief Investment Officer

Julian Koski is an innovator and entrepreneur who co-founded New Age Alpha with Armen Arus, and he currently serves as the company's Chief Investment Officer. Julian is a member of the Board of Directors and he leads New Age Alpha's investment process, business development, marketing and distribution efforts across all product offerings and investor groups. #Julian possesses deep financial expertise that includes the conceiving, building, and marketing of a range of successful financial firms, the first of which he sold to Ernst & Young at the age of 29. Over the course of his career, he has built and managed an investment bank, an asset management firm and a private equity fund that invested in healthcare, financial services, media, and entertainment.#Over the past 20+ year partnership with Armen Arus, the duo has combined their abilities to launch and build modern, efficient, and dependable asset management firms. Julian and Armen co-developed New Age Alpha's h-factor^TM methodology, which is at the core of New Age Alpha's investment approach and portfolio solutions. Prior to establishing New Age Alpha, Julian and Armen co-founded Transparent Value, which was successfully sold to Guggenheim Partners in 2009. At Transparent Value, Armen and Julian invented the Required Business Performance (RBP), the investment process that formed the foundation of the firm. Julian was instrumental in leading all product marketing and distribution strategies through the broker-dealer and wirehouse channels, as well as the full range of asset management intermediaries and institutional investors.#Driven by his love for nature, Julian is spearheading the shift to impact tourism which focuses on building leisure properties around the world that appeal to both the investment needs and tourism needs of the ultra-high net worth - all of which have at their heart a social and conservation importance. The ultimate mission is to invest and build luxury hospitality businesses that give back directly and help protect the communities they are located in. Most recently, Julian built, owns, and operates, Kubili House, a luxury safari lodge in South Africa's Greater Kruger National Park.
